PCB Talks to ICC After Pakistan Missing from Champions Trophy Logo

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has raised a concern with the International Cricket Council (ICC) after Pakistan's name was missing from the Champions Trophy broadcast logo during the India-Bangladesh match in Dubai. The logo on the screen showed the name of the tournament, but it did not include Pakistan’s name, even though Pakistan is one of the host countries.

The problem only happened during the India vs Bangladesh match. In other games, like the opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand, Pakistan’s name was shown. The PCB is upset and has asked the ICC for a clear explanation. They want to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

The ICC said that the missing name was just a “technical mistake.” They apologized and assured the PCB that it would not happen again. However, the PCB is not happy with this response because the graphics for the broadcast are made ahead of time and are controlled by ICC’s partner, a UK company called Sunset & Vine.

The PCB wants to make sure that in future broadcasts, Pakistan’s name will be shown properly, no matter where the match is played.

This issue is just one of the problems for Pakistan in the tournament. They also lost their first game against New Zealand. In the match, New Zealand scored 320 runs, and Pakistan could only manage 260 runs. Pakistan lost the game by 60 runs. They now have to focus on their next match, which is against their biggest rival, India, on February 23.
