PM Modi Praises Vicky Kaushal's Film: 'Chhaava Ki Dhoom Macha Hai'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi on February 21. While speaking at the event, he talked about Vicky Kaushal’s new film Chhaava and said that the movie is becoming very popular across India. He said, “In dino toh Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai,” which means “These days, Chhaava is making waves everywhere.” He also praised Maharashtra for making both Marathi and Hindi movies better and more famous.

PM Modi also spoke about the history shown in Chhaava. He said the film tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, a brave warrior. He also gave credit to Marathi writer Shivaji Sawant, who wrote a novel that helped people understand the courage of Sambhaji Maharaj. He said, “It is through Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel that we have been introduced to the valour of Sambhaji Maharaj in this form.”

The movie, directed by Laxman Utekar, came to theatres on February 14 and has been loved by many people. Vicky Kaushal plays the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film, showing his strong spirit and struggles.

As the movie becomes a big success, Vicky Kaushal shared a special moment on Instagram. His househelp, Asha Tai, who has known him for many years, performed the Nazar Utarna ritual after watching Chhaava. This is an old tradition in India where people remove bad energy from someone they love. Vicky shared a video and wrote, “Asha Tai has seen me grow... both in height and in life. Yesterday, she watched Chhaava and told me, ‘You should stand up, your gaze needs to be lifted.’ This is her way of showing love and keeping me safe from too much attention. I feel lucky to have her in my life.”

With love from the audience and now praise from the Prime Minister, Chhaava is running successfully in theatres, making people admire its story even more.
