Indian National Anthem Played in Lahore Before Aus vs Eng CT 2025 Match

One day before the big India vs Pakistan match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, something surprising happened in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. During the Australia vs England match, a part of India’s national anthem, ‘Jana Gana Mana,’ was played by mistake.

The mistake happened after England’s national anthem finished. It was time for Australia’s anthem, but instead, a line from India’s anthem, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata,’ started playing. Officials quickly stopped it and played the correct anthem, but by then, people had already noticed. Soon, social media was full of jokes and comments, making fun of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the error.

Meanwhile, fans are excited for the India vs Pakistan match. Former Pakistan cricketer Azam Khan wished luck to the Pakistan team. He said the team that makes fewer mistakes will win the match.

Pakistan is under pressure after losing to New Zealand by 60 runs in their first match. If they lose to India, their chances of staying in the tournament will be very low. They will then have to depend on other teams’ results to qualify for the next round. Azam Khan said if Pakistan wins, it will boost their confidence and make the tournament more exciting.

Speaking about the India-Pakistan rivalry, Azam Khan said that even though these matches are full of pressure, players now behave in a friendly way on the field. He recalled past matches where both teams showed respect for each other despite the intense competition.

In the Champions Trophy history, Pakistan has won more matches than India, leading 3-2. Their biggest win was in the 2017 final, where they defeated India by 180 runs. That match was one of Pakistan’s best performances and a rare weak day for India, even with Virat Kohli as captain.

Pakistan started this tournament with a defeat, while India won its first match against Bangladesh by six wickets. Now, fans are waiting to see if Pakistan can bounce back or if India will continue its strong form in this high-stakes match.
