The CBSE Class 10 Science exam was held today, and both students and teachers shared their thoughts about the paper. Most students found the exam to be of medium difficulty. The paper had a good mix of easy and tricky questions, with many being direct and some needing deep thinking. The numerical problems were simple, and the diagram-based questions were well-balanced.
Parvathy V, academic coordinator at Jain International Residential School, Bengaluru, said that the exam followed the CBSE book closely. She mentioned that students who studied well from the textbook were able to answer most questions easily. Deepika Sharma, Head of Science at Silverline Prestige School, said that the physics section had some tough questions that required clear understanding, while the numerical questions were straightforward. Saurabh Shukla, a Physics teacher at Global Indian International School, Noida, said that the assertion-reasoning questions were simple and not confusing.
Many students enjoyed writing the exam. Shiven Raj, a Class 10 student from Jain International Residential School, said that the paper had both easy and difficult questions, making it an interesting test. A student from Silverline Prestige School shared that Section D helped them explain topics in detail, while Section E was the most exciting as it tested thinking skills rather than memory.
Two students, Shubham Jha and Pooja Jha, from Raghubir Singh Modern School, Delhi, said the paper had fewer numerical questions than expected. The chemistry section had questions about balancing chemical equations, carbon compounds, and precipitation reactions, and some students found it tough. The physics section included questions about horseshoe magnets, magnetic fields, ray diagrams, and lenses, requiring a good understanding of concepts. Many students found the biology section easier compared to physics and chemistry. Some students even completed their exam 30 minutes before time.
Teachers appreciated that the exam made students think and apply what they had learned instead of just memorizing. The paper had five sections, each increasing in difficulty. Section A had simple multiple-choice questions, Section B had reasoning questions, Section C tested thinking ability, Section D focused on concepts, and Section E was based on real-life situations. A student from Vidyagyan School, Bulandshahar, was happy that the paper was similar to the CBSE sample papers. Many students from the school found the biology section the easiest.
Meenu Kanwar, principal of Amity International School, Mayur Vihar, said the paper was of medium difficulty, with some tricky questions that needed careful thinking. It was designed in a way that required students to apply knowledge in new ways rather than just remembering answers. One student from Shiv Nadar School found a small mistake in a physics question, where the speed of light value was missing in all options.
Dr. Nisha Sharma, a science teacher at KIIT World School, Gurgaon, said the paper was fully based on NCERT books, which helped students focus on their studies. Teachers from Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, said that students should perform well since all the questions were from the syllabus.
Overall, the CBSE Class 10 Science exam was well-planned and student-friendly. It tested knowledge, problem-solving, and thinking ability. The mix of easy and tricky questions made sure that students were tested on both understanding and learning.
