During the Republic Day parade in Kolkata on Sunday, the Indian Army introduced its robotic dogs, called 'MULE' (Multi Utility Legged Equipment), to the public. The star of the show was a robotic dog named 'Sanjay,' which amazed everyone as it made its debut at the Republic Day celebrations in West Bengal. The dignitaries and crowd were left in awe of this high-tech innovation.

'Sanjay' is a special robotic dog built to work in all types of weather and can handle various tasks. It can be used in situations where explosives need to be detected and disposed of, for surveillance, security of boundaries, and protection of important assets. Additionally, it is designed to work in tough environments like chemical, biological, and nuclear warfare. According to the Indian Army, 100 of these robotic dogs have already been included in different military units.

The parade took place on Kolkata's Red Road and saw participation from many different groups, including the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, West Bengal Police, Kolkata Police, Rapid Action Force, and the Disaster Management Group.

West Bengal's Governor, CV Ananda Bose, hoisted the National Flag, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also took part in the ceremony.
Along with the robotic dogs, the parade showcased advanced military equipment like the 'Pinaka' and 'Smerch' missile systems, and the latest military vehicles. The celebrations also featured cultural performances, including a traditional 'Kukri' dance by artists from Darjeeling and performances by students from the Sundarbans and Baul performers, which added an extra layer of color and excitement to the event.
