The operations were based on specific intelligence. The first operation occurred in Lungkhongjang Ridge, north of Bungte Chiru village in Bishnupur district. The joint team recovered several weapons, including one modified sniper rifle, five 9mm pistols, two single-barrel rifles, grenades, ammunition, and other warlike stores.

On the same day, they launched another operation in the Heirok-Wangjing area, where they apprehended two KCP(PWG) members and seized two 9mm pistols, ammunition, and other war-related materials.
In Jiribam district, a cordon-and-search operation resulted in the recovery of one carbine, a single-barrel gun, grenades, and ammunition. In Chandel district, the Assam Rifles conducted an operation between Gamngai and Pheijang on January 24, 2025, where they found one 9mm pistol, a locally made mortar, an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing approximately 1 kg, grenades, and ammunition.
Later that same day, in Imphal West district, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint search operation in the Potsangbam Khullen Hill Range. They recovered one self-loading rifle, one carbine machine gun, one .32 caliber country-made pistol, two 51mm mortars, grenades, and ammunition.
On January 25, 2025, in Kakching district, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Thangjao Mamang Ching area. The arrested individuals, along with the recovered weapons and materials, have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further action.
