"Who Knows Tea's Fragrance Better Than A Chaiwala?" Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Assam for two days and spoke about the state’s tea gardens. He said that a tea seller (chaiwala) knows the smell of tea better than anyone. People cheered when he said this. The event was full of lights and happiness, and many artists performed. PM Modi said that Assam’s tea gardens have a sweet smell, which fills the air.

He also said that Assam is an important part of India’s culture. Many guests from more than 60 countries came to see the event and learn about Assam. He spoke a few words in Assamese, and people were very happy to hear him speak in their language.

PM Modi also talked about Kaziranga National Park, which is famous for one-horned rhinos. He said he is the first Prime Minister to stop there and tell the world about its wildlife. He also said that Assamese has now been given the status of a classical language, which was a long-time wish of the people.

Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed PM Modi and thanked him for coming. He said it was special because the PM visited Assam soon after taking office for the third time. Tripura’s Chief Minister Manik Saha also praised the grand event and said it was magical.

A special dance called Jhumoir was performed by 8,000 artists at the event. Jhumoir is a traditional dance of the tea garden workers. It started long ago when workers danced together after a long day of work. Now, it is a symbol of Assam’s tea culture. The Assam government is helping these dancers and tea workers to keep this tradition alive.

The event was held to celebrate 200 years of Assam’s tea industry. Assam’s tea is famous all over the world for its strong taste and rich smell. The tea industry gives jobs to millions of people. The state government has planned many events to honor the tea workers and their hard work.

During his visit, PM Modi also went to Kaziranga National Park. His visit to Assam showed the beauty of the state and its culture to the world.
