Apple to create 20,000 US jobs, build servers for Apple Intelligence

Apple has said that it will spend $500 billion in the United States in the next four years. This money will be used to work with many suppliers across the country, give jobs to more people, set up Apple Intelligence servers, make data centers bigger, open new offices, and create Apple TV+ shows in 20 states. Apple also said that in the last five years, it has paid more than $75 billion in US taxes, including $19 billion in 2024 alone.

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said that the company believes in America’s bright future in technology. He said Apple is happy to make a bigger investment in the country. He also said that Apple will keep helping US manufacturing by giving more money to its Advanced Manufacturing Fund and working with companies in different states.

As part of this plan, Apple will build Apple Intelligence servers in Houston, Texas. These servers will help Apple Intelligence, which is a smart system that helps users with writing and other tasks. The new factory in Houston will start making these servers later this year. The factory will be very large—250,000 square feet—and will open in 2026. It will also create thousands of new jobs.

Before this, Apple used to make these AI servers in other countries, but now it will build them in the US. Apple says these servers use less power, which will help reduce electricity use in its data centers. Apple’s data centers already run on 100% renewable energy. The company also plans to make its data centers bigger in North Carolina, Iowa, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada as more people start using Apple Intelligence.

Apple also said that Apple Intelligence will soon be available in more countries and languages. The service will start in April and will support languages like French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified). It will also include English versions specially made for people in Singapore and India.

Apple will also give jobs to 20,000 more people in the US over the next four years. The company says it already supports 2.9 million jobs in the US. This includes people working directly for Apple, people working for Apple’s suppliers, and developers who make apps for iPhones and iPads.

Apple also said it will give more money to its US Advanced Manufacturing Fund and open a new training school in Michigan to teach workers about manufacturing. The company will also do more research in the US, focusing on making better computer chips.

With this big investment, Apple wants to grow its business in the US, create more jobs, and work closely with American companies to make new technology and products.
