Sanam Teri Kasam 2: Makers reveal big update on Harshvardhan Rane sequel

The 2016 romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam is winning hearts once again after its re-release in theaters. Starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, the film has found a new wave of love from fans who are now eagerly waiting for any news about the much-anticipated sequel.

In a recent conversation with India Forums, the filmmakers Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru shared exciting updates about Sanam Teri Kasam 2. They revealed that the idea for the sequel was always part of the plan while writing the original film. According to them, the second part has been prepared for quite some time, and they have a clear storyline for where Inder’s (played by Harshvardhan Rane) journey will go next.

One of the key moments from the first movie is when Inder walks toward a tree while Saru’s (Mawra Hocane) voice echoes in the background. This emotional ending was carefully crafted to pave the way for a sequel, making it clear that the love story was far from over.

The filmmakers further revealed that the script for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is ready, and most of the songs have already been composed. Given the incredible response to the film’s re-release this Valentine’s Day, the makers are now motivated to release the sequel by Valentine’s Day 2026.

“We are almost there. Most of the work is done, and we are excited to bring the next part of Inder’s story to life,” the directors shared during the interview. They reassured fans that an official announcement will follow soon.
