Samsung has launched a new low-cost smartphone, the Galaxy A06 5G, in India. The starting price is ₹10,499. This phone is an improved version of the Galaxy A06 (4G model), which came out in September 2024. After just five months, Samsung has now released the 5G version with better speed and new features.

The Galaxy A06 5G has a 6.7-inch screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. It has a strong plastic body that makes it light and easy to carry. The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip and comes with Samsung’s OneUI software. Samsung has launched three versions of this phone. The basic model has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and costs ₹10,499. The second version has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at ₹11,499. The top model has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and costs ₹12,999. The phone is available in three colours: black, grey, and light green.

Samsung is also offering a one-year screen replacement for just ₹129 if bought through Samsung Care+. Usually, this service costs ₹699. The design of the Galaxy A06 5G looks almost the same as the 4G model, but the 5G version has new colour options. The phone has two cameras on the back. The main camera is 50 megapixels, and there is a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the phone has an 8-megapixel camera inside a small notch at the top of the screen. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the side for security. Other features include Samsung’s Voice Focus, which makes phone calls clearer, and support for 12 different 5G bands for better network coverage.

The phone’s screen is an IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. It has a brightness of up to 800 nits in high-brightness mode, making it easy to use even in sunlight. The Galaxy A06 5G comes with a big 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. It runs on Samsung’s latest OneUI 7.0, which is based on Android 15. Samsung has promised four years of software updates and four years of security updates.

The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G is now available for purchase on Samsung’s official website, as well as on major online and offline stores across India.
