Preity Zinta upset with cynicism: Praising PM tags you as 'bhakt'

Preity Zinta is upset with the way people behave on social media. She feels that people are quick to judge others without knowing the truth. On Friday, she shared her thoughts on X (which was earlier called Twitter). She said that negativity is growing on social media, and people have become too quick to pass comments.

She gave examples of how people assume things too fast. She said if someone talks about Artificial Intelligence, people think it is a paid promotion. If someone praises the Prime Minister, they are called a "bhakt." And if someone says they are a proud Hindu or Indian, they are labeled as an "andh bhakt" (blind follower).

Preity told people to stop judging others. She said, "Let people be who they are, and not who we think they should be. Maybe we all need to relax and talk to each other with happiness."

She also made a funny comment about her marriage. Many people ask her why she married Gene Goodenough. She said she married him because she loves him. She also added a Hindi line: "Kyuki sarhad par ek aisa shaks hai, jo mere liye apni jaan de sakta hai" (Because there is one person across the border who can give his life for me).

One social media user asked her if celebrities are making trolls stronger by replying to them. Preity answered that people forget that she and others from her time did not grow up with modern technology. She said that AI is a new thing, and many are curious about it.

She also said she prefers talking to real people instead of spending time online. She remembered the past when she used to do "Pzchats" with her fans, where they talked about different topics. She said she is very busy as a mother now, but she hopes to bring back those chats in the future.

Preity got married to Gene Goodenough in 2016 in Los Angeles. The couple became parents in 2021 to twins, Jai and Gia, through surrogacy. Recently, she shared her feelings about their first day of school. She said she was both happy and nervous as they started a new journey.

On the work side, Preity is ready to return to Bollywood after a long break. She will be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi’s film Lahore 1947. This movie is produced by Aamir Khan and will bring Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan together. This film is special for Preity because it will be her first movie after many years.
