Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The grand religious event, known as the largest spiritual gathering in the world, saw devotees from all corners of India and beyond coming together at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

During his visit, PM Modi took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, holding 'rudraksha' beads and chanting mantras as he offered prayers while standing in the holy waters. Sharing his spiritual experience, the Prime Minister expressed his feelings on social media platform X, stating:

"Today, I had the great privilege of performing Puja-Archana after bathing in the sacred Sangam at Prayagraj Mahakumbh. The blessings of Maa Ganga filled me with immense peace and satisfaction. I prayed for the happiness, prosperity, health, and well-being of all our countrymen. Har-Har Gange!"

The Prime Minister reached Triveni Sangam by boat, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Together, they offered prayers and visited important sites, including the famous Lete Hanuman Mandir.

The ongoing Mahakumbh, which began on January 13 during Paush Purnima, will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26. The event, held every 12 years, has already attracted over 38 crore pilgrims, according to government reports.

In addition to his spiritual engagement, PM Modi also inaugurated 167 development projects worth ₹5,500 crore during his Prayagraj visit on December 13. These projects aim to improve connectivity, public amenities, and services in the region.

Meanwhile, Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck also visited Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh 2025 on Tuesday. He participated in several significant spiritual activities and visited the Digital Mahakumbh Experience Centre. The King, alongside CM Yogi Adityanath, witnessed a blend of tradition and modern technology at the event.

Sharing his thoughts, CM Yogi Adityanath posted on X: "His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck Ji of Bhutan visited the 'Digital Mahakumbh Experience Centre' in Prayagraj, the symbol of spirituality and modernity. He observed the divine and digital form of Mahakumbh 2025."

This year’s Mahakumbh continues to capture the devotion and fascination of millions, making it a unique combination of ancient traditions and technological advancements.
