Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently engaging with students, teachers, and parents at the eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC 2025). The event, aimed at easing the stress surrounding exams and promoting positive thinking, has drawn immense attention this year. Over 3.30 crore students, 20.71 lakh teachers, and 5.51 lakh parents have registered to be part of this interactive session, making it a remarkable success.
The gathering is even more special with the participation of several well-known personalities. Spiritual leader Sadhguru, actors Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey, Olympic champion Mary Kom, and Paralympic gold medalist Avani Lekhara have joined the event to share their valuable insights and inspiring experiences. Their contributions are adding unique perspectives to discussions on education, career growth, and managing exam-related challenges.
During his address, Prime Minister Modi offered thoughtful advice to students, teachers, and parents alike. He encouraged students to manage their time wisely by planning their day in advance. He emphasized the importance of giving extra attention to difficult subjects instead of focusing only on topics they find easy or enjoyable. This, he said, would help them achieve better results and build stronger knowledge foundations.
The Prime Minister also spoke directly to teachers, urging them to go beyond simply giving advice. He emphasized the importance of recognizing each student's unique strengths and talents. By fostering a supportive environment, educators can help children feel understood and valued, which in turn boosts their confidence and ability to learn effectively.
Modi highlighted that exams should not be seen as the ultimate goal of education. While acknowledging that exams are important, he reminded students that true learning comes from gaining knowledge rather than just preparing for tests. This message aimed to reduce the pressure often associated with academic assessments and help students develop a love for learning.
Speaking to parents, Modi stressed the need to allow children the freedom to explore hobbies and interests beyond textbooks. He explained that extracurricular activities play a crucial role in a child's overall development. Pursuing hobbies helps children think creatively, improve their problem-solving skills, and develop a more balanced lifestyle.
To help students cope with pressure, Modi drew an interesting comparison to cricket. He advised them to concentrate on their studies just as a batsman focuses on the ball despite the noise of a cheering crowd. This analogy was meant to inspire students to block out distractions and stay focused on their goals, regardless of external stress.
In addition to these insights, the Prime Minister spoke about the importance of health, proper sleep, and a balanced diet. He reminded students that being healthy doesn't just mean avoiding sickness but involves maintaining overall physical and mental well-being. Good sleep and nutritious meals play an essential role in helping students stay alert, energetic, and ready to learn.
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 continues to be a meaningful initiative, offering students the guidance they need to approach exams with confidence and a positive mindset. Prime Minister Modi's thoughtful advice, along with insights from distinguished guests, is sure to inspire young minds and encourage them to focus on their dreams without being overwhelmed by academic stress.
