Passengers Lock Themselves in Train's Loco Cabin During Mahakumbh Rush

During the Mahakumbh Mela 2025, Varanasi experienced a huge rush of devotees, leading to chaos at the city's railway stations. With millions of people coming for the event, there has been a severe shortage of seats on trains, forcing some passengers to take extreme actions to secure a ride.

In a shocking incident at Varanasi Cantt railway station, a video surfaced showing passengers entering the locomotive cabin of a train. These passengers treated the engine cabin like any other regular train coach, unaware of the dangers involved. They even locked the door from inside, making it even more dangerous.

Thankfully, the railway staff quickly noticed and took action. They removed around 20 people from the engine cabin and warned them about the risks of being in such an important operational area. After that, the authorities helped the passengers by providing them with alternative places to sit in other train compartments.

This incident has gone viral on social media, shining a light on the severe pressure the transportation system in Varanasi is under due to the huge crowd. The Mahakumbh Mela, one of the biggest Hindu festivals, brings millions of people to Varanasi, and the railway system is struggling to keep up with the overwhelming demand for train travel.
