Leopard crashes Lucknow wedding, guests run in panic

A wedding celebration in Lucknow turned into a night of fear and panic when a wild leopard suddenly entered the venue, sending guests running in all directions. The incident happened on Wednesday night at MM Lawn banquet hall, where families and friends had gathered for a joyous occasion. Laughter and music quickly turned into screams as people spotted the big cat inside the premises.

Dressed in their best clothes, guests rushed to find a safe place, some hiding under tables while others ran towards the exit. In the chaos, one person suffered serious injuries after jumping off a roof in an attempt to escape.

A video of the shocking event was later shared on Instagram, capturing the moment police officers and forest officials cautiously entered a locked section of the hall. Armed with rifles, they moved carefully upstairs, but just as they reached a certain point, the leopard suddenly appeared, causing another wave of panic.

Authorities quickly took control of the situation. The police and forest department officials immediately began an evacuation and launched a search operation to locate the animal. The effort continued for several hours through the night. Finally, at around 4 AM on Thursday, the leopard was safely captured.

Sitanshu Pandey, the divisional forest officer of Lucknow, shared that the rescue operation took more than four hours. He also mentioned that officials suspect the leopard may have strayed from the nearby forests of Lakhimpur Kheri or Dudhwa Tiger Reserve.

As the video spread online, many social media users reacted with shock and concern. One user commented, “Is the leopard okay though?” showing sympathy for the wild animal caught in an unfamiliar environment.

While the incident created fear and chaos, the quick action of the police and forest team ensured that the situation was handled without further harm. The rescued leopard will now be examined and relocated to a safer habitat.
