Khushi Kapoor is excited about her upcoming movie Loveyapa, where she will star alongside Junaid Khan. The film is set to release on February 7, 2025, but before that, Khushi opened up about the challenges she faced growing up, especially with her self-esteem and how she was teased for her appearance.
In an interview with Indian Express, Khushi shared her personal story, talking about how, as a young girl, she was often made fun of because she didn’t look like her mother or sister. “When I was a young girl, I was made fun of by how I looked. I didn’t look like my mother or sister. Your self-esteem takes a hit when you are a young child,” she said. This judgment affected her a lot, but over time, she learned to deal with it and build confidence in herself.
Khushi also talked about her interest in taking care of herself, such as using skincare products and fillers. She didn’t see these things in a negative light, even though others often pointed them out. She explained that personal care should be a choice, and it’s not something people should judge others for. "People will always have something to say, no matter what you do," she said, highlighting how important it is to ignore others’ opinions and do what feels right for you.
Khushi stressed the importance of being honest about yourself. She said that no matter what decisions you make—whether it’s changing your look or keeping it the same—people will always have something to say. The key is to focus on what feels best for you, without worrying about what others think.
On the work front, Khushi Kapoor is all set to make her big-screen debut in Loveyapa, a romantic comedy with Junaid Khan, the son of actor Aamir Khan. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on February 7, 2025.
Besides Loveyapa, Khushi is also preparing for her role in the film Nadaaniyan, where she will act alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan. This film will be Ibrahim's debut, and it will be released on Netflix later this year.
Khushi’s journey of self-acceptance and her exciting career ahead show her strength and determination to succeed, despite the challenges she faced growing up.
