ISB ranks 27th, surpasses IIMs in FT’s MBA B-School Rankings 2025

The Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad is the top business school in India, ranking 27th in the world in the Financial Times (FT) MBA Rankings for 2025. This is an improvement from last year’s rank of 31 and 39 in 2023. ISB's average rank over the past three years is 32. The school is also ranked 4th for having a strong alumni network.

Apart from ISB, other Indian institutes also made it to the list. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is ranked 31st, IIM Bangalore is at 57th, IIM Calcutta is at 61st, and IIM Lucknow is at 71st. This year, two new IIMs also entered the list: IIM Indore at 69th and IIM Kozhikode at 86th. IIM Kozhikode’s new business program also made its debut in the FT rankings.

The top business school in the world is the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, followed by Columbia Business School. IESE Business School, Insead, SDA Bocconi, and MIT’s Sloan School are also in the top rankings. The London Business School is ranked 7th.
