India's ICC Champions Trophy 2025 jersey revealed, 'Pakistan' imprint stands out

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is coming soon, starting on February 19, 2025. Before the tournament begins, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) shared photos of Indian players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma wearing the new jersey for the Champions Trophy.

The new jersey looks very similar to the one worn during the recent England series, but there are some important changes. The jersey now has the Champions Trophy logo and Pakistan’s name on the right side, as required by the tournament rules.

There were some reports earlier that India might not have Pakistan’s name on the jersey, but these reports were wrong. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that India would follow the ICC rules for the Champions Trophy. According to these rules, all teams must wear the host country's name on their jerseys, even if matches are played in other countries. If India didn’t follow this rule, it would have been a violation of the ICC dress code.

India and Pakistan have not been on good terms for a long time, and this has created problems for cricket events. India has refused to travel to Pakistan for matches, so this Champions Trophy will be played in a hybrid format. India’s matches will be played in Dubai, not Pakistan.

Earlier, it was also reported that Indian captain Rohit Sharma might not attend the captain's meeting in Pakistan. But later, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided not to hold any official photo shoots or captain's meetings before the tournament, saying there were "logistical" problems.

This Champions Trophy is special because it will be the first major ICC event held in Pakistan since the 1996 World Cup. Pakistan won the last Champions Trophy in 2017, while India is the current T20 World Cup champion. Both teams are strong, and the competition is expected to be exciting.
