Delhi CM announcement live: BJP to choose woman leader? MLAs meet at 7 pm

BJP leaders in Delhi will meet today at 7 pm to choose a new Chief Minister (CM). The new CM will take the oath on February 20. Some reports say BJP may choose a CM from their elected MLAs, and a woman MLA might also be selected. BJP leader Tarun Chugh checked the work for the swearing-in ceremony, which will happen at Ramlila Maidan on Tuesday at 11 am. He said the people of Delhi have removed the old government, and under PM Modi, Delhi will get better.

AAP leader Manish Sisodia said BJP is confused about picking a CM, and this is causing trouble. He also said BJP is not thinking about important things like schools and hospitals. BJP leader Dushyant Gautam said the new CM will be good and will also check the mistakes of the old government.

Sources say PM Modi will come to Ramlila Maidan at 12:30 pm for the oath ceremony. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena will give the oath to the new CM. Around 30,000 people have been invited, including leaders, famous people, religious leaders, farmers, and women. BJP MLA Rekha Gupta from Shalimar Bagh is one of the top names for CM.

Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje said the people of Delhi have given a strong message to Arvind Kejriwal, and BJP will work to make things better. More than 5,000 police officers will be at Ramlila Maidan for safety.

BJP is still deciding the new CM. Names like Rekha Gupta, Parvesh Verma, and others who helped BJP win the election are being discussed. The final CM name will be announced after the meeting today.
