CM Yogi Denies Faecal Bacteria Report, Calls It Propaganda

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the water in Prayagraj’s Sangam is safe for people to take a dip, despite reports saying it has harmful bacteria. He believes these reports are part of a plan to harm the image of the Mahakumbh festival.

CM Yogi said that the Mahakumbh is a festival for everyone in society, and the government is just there to help organize it. "This event is not run by any one party. The government is helping, but the people own this event. Over 56 crore people have already taken a dip at the Sangam. There are still seven days left in the festival," he said.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the stampede that happened on January 29. He said he is sorry for the people who lost their lives in the stampede or in accidents while going home after the holy dip. "We stand with the families of the victims, and we will help them in every way we can. But it is wrong to use this sad event for politics," he added.

In a speech at the UP assembly, CM Yogi said that it is wrong to spread fake news about the Mahakumbh and the religion of Sanatan Dharma. "Spreading false information hurts the faith of the 56 crore people who are part of this holy event," he said.

He also mentioned that the Mahakumbh is not only organized by the people of India but is a global event. The whole world is involved, and it has been a big success. Despite false rumors, millions of people are attending.

Yogi Adityanath asked everyone to respect the people taking part in this holy event and not turn it into a political issue. He assured that the government will keep supporting the festival and ensure safety for everyone.
