Ed Sheeran, the famous UK singer, is currently on his Mathematics tour in India, and on Wednesday, he performed in Chennai. What made the concert even more special was the surprise appearance of the Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. The two musical legends teamed up to perform a remix of Ed’s hit song “Shape of You” along with Rahman’s famous track “Urvasi.” The crowd went wild with excitement, but there was a little hiccup during the performance – Rahman’s microphone wasn’t working properly.

Despite the technical issue, Ed and Rahman continued to perform together. Ed took over the singing when Rahman’s mic didn’t pick up his voice, but Rahman still joined in by vocalizing parts of "Urvasi." The audience cheered them on, showing their love and support for the performance, and it turned into a memorable moment for everyone who attended.

After the show, Ed Sheeran shared a video on Instagram, showing the moment when Rahman joined him on stage. He also called on the crowd to make some noise for Rahman, which got a loud cheer from the fans. Many fans shared their excitement online, calling it an iconic performance. Some even joked that Ed should get an Aadhar Card (an Indian identity card) because of his connection with Rahman and India. Others were also impressed by Ed’s respect and admiration for Rahman, calling it a special moment.

Though most fans were happy with the performance, a few fans mentioned that it could have been better if they had practiced more together. But overall, the collaboration between Ed and Rahman was still praised by many.

Earlier, Ed Sheeran met Rahman and his son A R Ameen before the concert. Ameen, who is also a singer, posted pictures with Ed on his Instagram, showing their time together. In one photo, Ed posed with Rahman and Ameen, and in another, he took a picture of Rahman while he worked on his music in the studio.

Ed Sheeran also visited Rahman’s KM College of Music & Technology in Chennai, where he sang his song “Perfect” with the students of the college. He posted a video on Instagram, showing the choir singing along with him, and called the experience amazing.

Before his performance in Chennai, a fan shared a funny video of Ed getting a head massage in Chennai, where he jokingly said, “This is abuse,” making fans laugh at his sense of humor.

Ed Sheeran will continue his tour and perform in Delhi-NCR on February 15. His tour is organized by AEG Presents Asia and BookMyShow Live.
