ABVP Hosts Taranga Rally in Srinagar to Celebrate National Unity

In a rare political display in Srinagar, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a ‘Taranga Rally’ on Thursday. This event attracted around 70 students who gathered to take part in the march. The rally began at the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) and made its way through the city, ending at the iconic Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) in Lal Chowk.

The participants, mostly students, proudly waved the national flag and chanted slogans of patriotism as they moved along the streets. To ensure the event went smoothly and to maintain safety, additional security was set up along the rally's route. Police and paramilitary forces were deployed to keep an eye on the procession.

The rally was organized by ABVP as part of their effort to encourage feelings of nationalism and patriotism among young students. Holding banners with messages of unity and waving the tricolor flag, the students aimed to spread a powerful message of national integration and togetherness.

One of the ABVP representatives spoke to the Associated News Bureau and shared their main goal: "Our purpose is to strengthen the bond of patriotism among the youth and reaffirm our commitment to the nation. The participation of students in such events is important for fostering a sense of responsibility and national pride."
Many of the students who took part in the rally shared their excitement and pride in being a part of the event. One student, who wished to remain unnamed, said, "This is a proud moment for us. We are here to celebrate our nation and uphold its integrity."

Overall, the ‘Taranga Rally’ was an event that brought together students to show their love and respect for the country, while highlighting the importance of unity and national pride.
