Urvashi Rautela apologizes and deletes post after flak over 'diamond-studded Rolex' remark

Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has been facing a lot of online criticism after making insensitive remarks about the attack on Saif Ali Khan. The incident took place on January 16, when an intruder attacked Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai residence. After facing backlash for her comments, Urvashi posted an apology on Instagram but later deleted it.

Urvashi, who is currently enjoying the success of her film Daaku Maharaaj, upset many people with her response to questions about Saif Ali Khan’s safety. During an interview, she was asked about the attack on Saif and how it raised concerns about the safety of actors. She began by calling the attack an "unfortunate" incident, but then quickly shifted the conversation to talk about her achievements. She mentioned that Daaku Maharaaj had crossed ₹105 crore at the box office, and then talked about the "diamond-studded Rolex" watch her mother had given her. She even mentioned a mini-watch her father had gifted her. However, she went on to say that she didn’t feel safe wearing them outside in public.

This change in focus didn’t sit well with many people. They felt that Urvashi was not showing enough empathy towards the seriousness of the situation with Saif Ali Khan. As a result, social media users started criticizing her for being insensitive and for turning a discussion about a violent attack into a conversation about her personal life.

Urvashi later realized her mistake and issued an apology to Saif Ali Khan on Instagram. She expressed regret over her comments and said that she was ashamed for not understanding the gravity of the situation. In her apology, Urvashi said she was unaware of how serious the situation was, and admitted that she got too caught up in the excitement of her own movie’s success and the gifts she had received. She apologized to Saif for failing to acknowledge what he was going through at that moment.

Despite the apology, Urvashi later deleted her Instagram post, which left some people wondering why she chose to remove it. As of now, the post is no longer available on her social media account.

The attack on Saif Ali Khan occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, when an intruder broke into his house in Bandra, Mumbai, and stabbed the actor six times. Saif suffered serious injuries during the attack, but thankfully, he was rushed to the hospital by his children in an autorickshaw. He is now out of danger and is receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital. The police have started an investigation and have detained a few suspects, though no arrests have been made yet.

This disturbing incident has brought attention to the safety of celebrities, and Urvashi Rautela's comments about it have sparked a conversation about the way celebrities handle sensitive topics on social media.
