As a young lad, Subhash demonstrated extraordinary qualities- genius and work ability. Subhash Bose proved himself as one of the excellent scholars of the class at school. His keen interest was towards the literature concerning Indian history and culture.

As he grew up, Bose was highly influenced by the ideology of Swami Vivekananda, who preached the service to others and love for the nation. This motivated young Subhash to dedicate himself to the cause of India's independence.

Role of Subhash Chandra Bose in India's Freedom

Subhash Chandra Bose was an action man who believed in fighting for freedom. He had completed his education and then appeared for the Indian Civil Services exam in England, which was considered to be one of the toughest exams at that time. Subhash Chandra Bose set up the Indian National Army (INA), popularly known as Azad Hind Fauj, in 1943, for achieving his aim. He aimed to assemble Indians and to make them fight for throwing off the British rule by making other nations, like Japan and Germany, supportive to his cause. Thousands joined him inspired by his powerful slogan: "Give me blood, and I will give you freedom."
