Rinku Singh Engaged to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj

Indian cricketer Rinku Singh is all set to marry Priya Saroj, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party. According to a report by News 24, the couple recently got engaged and are expected to tie the knot soon, although the exact wedding date has not been revealed yet.

Rinku Singh, who was part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad as a traveling reserve, shares a strong bond with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders. Rinku once shared that Shah Rukh Khan jokingly asked when he would be getting married, promising to attend and even dance at his wedding.

Priya Saroj, who is the Member of Parliament for Machhali Shahar, comes from a political family. She is the daughter of Tufani Saroj, a three-time MP and current MLA. Before stepping into politics, Priya practiced law. In 2024, Priya made a remarkable achievement by winning her first Lok Sabha election. She defeated BJP candidate BP Saroj with a margin of 35,850 votes, making her the second-youngest person to be elected to the lower house of Parliament. Priya holds a BA degree from the University of Delhi and an LLB from Amity University, Noida.

Rinku Singh has had an impressive journey in cricket despite not playing regularly for the national team. He was part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning team as a traveling reserve. He is now part of the T20I squad for India’s series against England, which starts on January 22.

In the recent IPL season, Rinku’s performance was decent. He scored 168 runs at an average of 18.67, though his team, Kolkata Knight Riders, secured their third IPL title. So far, Rinku has played 30 T20I matches for India, scoring 507 runs, and 2 One Day International (ODI) matches, where he scored 55 runs. Known for his strong batting skills, Rinku has often impressed cricket fans with his ability to perform in tough situations.
