A tragic incident occurred in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday. A 15-year-old boy, Yuvraj Rana, tragically shot himself in front of his family. According to the police, the reason behind his action is deeply disturbing. Yuvraj reportedly took his own life after being curious about what happens after death.
Before the incident, the police discovered that Yuvraj had been searching online for topics related to death, such as “Garuda Purana,” “What happens after death,” and “Where the soul goes after death” on Google and YouTube. However, no suicide note was found, leaving the family and police in shock.
The incident took place on the night of Saturday at Apex Colony. The family, still in shock, has not yet filed an official complaint, as confirmed by Station House Officer (SHO) Dharmendra Kumar. Police found that Yuvraj used a pistol that was retrieved from his room. They are now working to trace where the pistol came from.
Initial investigations suggest that Yuvraj was upset after being scolded by his mother and brother for associating with bad company. The family had also sold his bike, which made him even more agitated. These factors seem to have played a role in his tragic decision.
After a post-mortem examination, the boy’s body was handed back to his family. Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
In another sad incident, a Class 12 girl student, Utkalika Swain, was found dead in her hostel room in the Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya on January 13. Police said she had hanged herself using her dupatta. Utkalika was from Kendrapara district, and her tragic death has left her family and friends in shock.
Meanwhile, in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, a 26-year-old college student took his own life by jumping off a building. This incident occurred early in the morning in a colony under the Civil Line police station area. The police are looking into this case as well.
