Delhi Traffic Disrupted Due to Republic Day Parade Dress Rehearsal

On Tuesday, central Delhi faced a huge traffic jam because of the Republic Day parade rehearsals. Many commuters got stuck on the roads, causing long delays. A user on social media posted a picture of the heavy traffic near Kartavya Path and complained, asking the Delhi Traffic Police to better manage the situation. The user mentioned that central Delhi was completely choked with cars. Some people shared that they were late for work or didn’t even want to go because the roads were so crowded.

The traffic problems were not only in central Delhi but also spread to several parts of south Delhi. One commuter posted about being stuck in traffic on MB Road for two hours. To avoid the traffic, some people decided to take the metro, but they also faced problems. There were long lines at metro stations because of extra security checks for Republic Day. A user posted a video of the long queues and asked the Delhi Metro to make the process faster, as it was a busy time for many office-goers.

The Delhi Police had already issued a traffic advisory before the rehearsals, saying that special arrangements were made to ensure the parade could take place smoothly at Kartavya Path. However, the heavy traffic caused trouble for commuters in many areas of the city.
