Bihar's Labour Resources Minister, Santosh Kumar Singh, has claimed that he received death threats from someone who introduced himself as gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Singh said he was threatened over the phone and demanded to pay a sum of Rs 30 lakh, or else he would face deadly consequences, just like a person named Baba Siddiqui.
The minister shared details of the call, explaining that the person on the other end of the line identified himself as Lawrence Bishnoi and asked for a ransom. Singh said the caller even mentioned Baba Siddiqui, reminding him of an incident, and said he would be killed if he didn't pay the money. The caller also told Singh how to transfer the money.
Feeling threatened, Singh immediately informed the Director General of Police (DGP) and filed a complaint with the police. He also made it clear to reporters that he had no personal enemies or any ongoing cases that could have caused this situation.
Following the complaint, the police took action and registered a case at Kotwali Police Station. Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar confirmed that an investigation is underway. To look into the matter more thoroughly, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the threats made to the minister.
