Bihar man claims Rahul Gandhi's remark caused ₹250 milk loss, moves court

A man from Bihar has approached a court in Patna with a complaint against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The man, Mukesh Chaudhary, said that Gandhi's recent remarks about India’s state shocked him so much that he accidentally dropped a bucket of milk, leading to a loss of ₹250. The incident took place in Samastipur, Bihar.

Chaudhary explained that Gandhi’s statement about “fighting against the Indian state” left him in such a state of shock that he lost control of the bucket, which contained five liters of milk priced at ₹50 per liter. Chaudhary believes Gandhi’s comment was a threat to India’s sovereignty.

In his complaint, Chaudhary has asked the court to charge Rahul Gandhi under several sections of the Indian legal code, including Section 152, which deals with sedition. This plea was filed in a civil court in Rosera, a sub-division of Samastipur. However, it is not clear whether the court has accepted the complaint yet.

So, what exactly did Rahul Gandhi say? On January 15, during the opening of the Congress party’s new headquarters in New Delhi, Gandhi criticized RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for suggesting that India’s true independence came with the opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Gandhi went on to say, “The BJP and RSS have taken control of every single institution, and now, we are fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself.”

Gandhi’s words were criticized by BJP president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, who said that Gandhi and his party did not understand history and were simply reading whatever their speechwriters wrote. Nadda further added that the Congress party had no real connection to history.

An FIR (First Information Report) was also filed against Rahul Gandhi in Assam for his comments. The police have registered charges against him under sections 152 and 197(1)d of the Indian legal code, accusing him of making statements that could endanger the country's unity and sovereignty. Another complainant, Monjit Chetia, claimed that Gandhi's statement tried to undermine the authority of the Indian government and could stir up unrest, even encouraging separatist feelings.

This strange series of events in Bihar has drawn attention, as it is not every day that someone's comments lead to such legal and financial claims. The court's next steps are awaited, as this case continues to unfold.
