His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Judicial Council, attended the Partners Forum ceremony organised by the Judicial Council at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park.
The event opened with the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran, setting a formal tone for the gathering of senior officials and judicial leaders.
Judicial Leadership Highlights Vision for Development
During the ceremony, Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department, reaffirmed that the continuous development of Sharjah’s judicial system reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. He emphasized that the rule of law remains a cornerstone in protecting rights and ensuring justice.
He further noted that the judicial system has undergone significant modernisation, improving efficiency and enhancing the quality of judicial services in line with the emirate’s long-term goals.
Advancing Digital Justice in Sharjah
Al Kaabi highlighted the transition towards a modern “Digital Justice” model, where advanced digital litigation systems have transformed traditional judicial procedures. The system places users at the centre of services, improving accessibility, speed, and transparency.
He added that this transformation was achieved through strong collaboration between internal teams and strategic partners, who helped convert operational challenges into innovative digital solutions.
Future Strategy Focused on Judicial Foresight
The Judicial Department also outlined its future roadmap centred on “Judicial Foresight,” focusing on adopting emerging technologies and strengthening institutional integration. The aim is to sustain excellence and further enhance service delivery across the judicial system.
Key Achievements and Strategic Cooperation
A presentation during the forum showcased major achievements, including the formation of 14 internal working teams to improve operational efficiency. The presentation also highlighted extensive coordination with federal and local entities, supporting knowledge exchange, digital integration, and human capital development.
Several cooperation agreements were also signed to strengthen institutional partnerships.
Launch of Digital Rental Disputes Platform
In a key development, the Deputy Ruler inaugurated the Digital Rental Disputes Platform, designed to fully digitize procedures for resolving rental conflicts. The platform enables virtual hearings and secure issuance and archiving of judicial rulings within a digital system.
The platform was developed in cooperation with the “Aqari” platform under the Sharjah Digital Department, marking a major step in judicial digital transformation.
Strong Rental Market Indicators
The forum also presented 2025 statistics showing more than 360,000 registered rental contracts, reflecting strong real estate activity in the emirate. The Rental Disputes Centre successfully resolved over 15,000 cases, demonstrating improved efficiency in dispute resolution.
Honouring Strategic Partners
The ceremony concluded with the honouring of strategic partners and supporting organisations in recognition of their contributions to judicial development. Commemorative shields were presented to encourage continued collaboration in strengthening Sharjah’s government ecosystem.
The event was attended by senior officials, including members of the ruling family, heads of government departments, judicial leaders, and representatives of federal and local entities.
