Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has successfully carried out its “Little Hearts” campaign in Bangladesh, providing urgent medical support to children suffering from heart diseases during a humanitarian field visit led by Ali Mohammed Al Rashidi.
The campaign was supervised by a volunteer medical team headed by Dr Ahmed Al Kamali. During the visit, the team performed 65 cardiac catheterisation procedures and examined nearly 160 children at the Heart Diseases Centre in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Ali Mohammed Al Rashidi said the “Little Hearts” campaign has continued its humanitarian mission since its launch in 2009, helping children who urgently need heart treatment but whose families cannot afford expensive surgeries and medical care.
He explained that the campaign serves as a lifeline for many children and reflects SCI’s strong commitment to providing specialised healthcare support in countries facing medical and financial challenges. He added that the UAE’s humanitarian efforts focus on making a direct impact on people’s lives and reducing their suffering through practical support and medical assistance.
As part of the visit, the SCI delegation also inaugurated the Dar Al Rahma Orphan Care Home in the Dubail Sadar Tangail area. The facility includes a mosque along with residential and educational services aimed at improving the living conditions, education, and social stability of orphaned children.
In addition, the delegation distributed 100 food baskets containing essential daily supplies to support families and beneficiaries in need.
The campaign highlights the continued humanitarian role of Sharjah Charity International in supporting vulnerable communities and improving healthcare and social welfare services in Bangladesh.
