UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting with Italy’s Defence Minister Guido Crosetto to strengthen cooperation in defence and security between the two countries.
The discussion focused on enhancing joint efforts in defence collaboration and addressing shared security interests. Both sides also reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and their impact on regional and global stability, with special attention to maritime security.
During the meeting, the Italian minister strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region. He stated that such actions violate national sovereignty and international law, and pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
Guido Crosetto also conveyed greetings from Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, along with her wishes for the UAE’s continued safety, stability, and prosperity.
The meeting highlights the growing partnership between the UAE and Italy in addressing regional challenges and strengthening global security cooperation.
