President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended warm wishes to everyone celebrating the Lunar New Year in the UAE and around the world.
“May the year ahead bring peace, prosperity and happiness to you and your loved ones,” he wrote on X, sharing his message in English, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, and Arabic.
The Lunar New Year is celebrated in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea. It begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and lasts for 15 days, falling between January 21 and February 20 each year.
This year marks the Year of the Horse, and several destinations in the UAE are hosting special celebrations. Global Village’s Chinese Pavilion will feature cultural shows and authentic dining experiences for visitors.
The UAE and China have maintained strong diplomatic ties since 1984, and top diplomats recently highlighted positive developments in their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership across multiple fields.
