At Zabeel Palace in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in a high-level meeting that underlined the growing partnership between the two nations. The visit comes at a time when both countries are seeking wider global engagement and deeper economic collaboration.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, along with key ministers and sector leaders. From the Ecuadorian side, top members of the government and diplomatic corps joined President Noboa.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across a wide range of sectors. Economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, sustainability, tourism, agriculture and the digital economy were highlighted as priority areas where both nations see major potential. Officials noted that expanding joint opportunities in these fields will support long-term development and future growth for both countries.
Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to building strong development partnerships globally, particularly with Latin American nations. He emphasised that the UAE, under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, continues to pursue diversified economic growth through new sectors such as green energy and advanced technology.
President Noboa conveyed warm greetings from the government and people of Ecuador as the UAE celebrates its 54th Eid Al Etihad. He praised the UAE’s rapid progress and expressed Ecuador’s interest in learning from the country’s development experience. He also stressed Ecuador’s aim to expand trade and investment flows with the UAE and create new channels for collaboration in tourism, agriculture, renewable energy and modern technologies.
Both sides reviewed regional and international developments and agreed on the importance of joint efforts to promote peace, stability and sustainable progress. Officials expressed satisfaction with the growing momentum in bilateral relations and discussed ways to create new partnerships between public and private sectors in both countries.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing cooperation and exploring new opportunities that support the development aspirations of the UAE and Ecuador.
