His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree approving the general organisational structure of the Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA).
According to the decree, the newly approved structure will serve as the official framework for the Authority’s operations. The Sharjah Executive Council has been assigned the responsibility to issue detailed decisions outlining the full organisational structure.
These decisions will include defining job roles, responsibilities, and functions across various departments within the Authority. The Council will also oversee the approval of job descriptions to ensure they align with the Authority’s objectives and competencies.
In addition, the decree grants authority to create, merge, or abolish organisational units within the SAA as needed. This step aims to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and support the Authority’s overall mission.
The move reflects Sharjah’s continued efforts to strengthen institutional frameworks and enhance the management of its archaeological and cultural heritage sector.
