In a significant step toward strengthening the social services sector, 49 newly qualified professionals in Dubai have officially taken their professional oath after completing all licensing requirements.
The ceremony was held at Al Khawaneej Majlis in the presence of Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority (CDA). The oath reflects the professionals’ commitment to delivering responsible, ethical, and high-quality social services aligned with international standards.
This milestone marks the continued efforts of the Community Development Authority to build a structured and highly skilled social work ecosystem. The initiative focuses on enhancing expertise, improving efficiency, and ensuring that services effectively meet the needs of diverse community groups amid ongoing social and economic changes.
Speaking at the event, Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid highlighted that the oath-taking ceremony represents a major step forward in reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in community development. She emphasized the authority’s commitment to preparing skilled professionals capable of delivering integrated and impactful services across all segments of society.
She further noted that investing in the training and licensing of social professionals plays a crucial role in strengthening social resilience and building sustainable communities. The CDA is also focused on equipping professionals with modern tools and knowledge to develop innovative, preventive, and empowerment-driven solutions.
With the addition of this new cohort, the total number of licensed social professionals in Dubai has reached 1,109 since the program’s launch. The licensing framework now spans 196 government entities and 864 public sector institutions, with strong participation from national talent.
This initiative aligns closely with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which prioritizes the wellbeing and quality of life of citizens and residents. By enhancing professional standards and governance, the CDA continues to reinforce social stability, support families, and drive sustainable development across the emirate.
