In a bid to reinforce national pride and community cohesion, Dubai Police have launched a widespread outreach initiative, distributing UAE flags to residents across multiple neighbourhoods in the emirate.
The campaign, titled “Proud of UAE,” has been introduced under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It aims to celebrate the country’s national identity while encouraging residents to express a shared sense of belonging.
As part of the initiative, approximately 800 UAE flags were handed out in key residential areas, including Al Marmoom, Margham, Al Awir, Lahbab, and Al Khawaneej. The move added a visible display of patriotism across these communities.
The programme was led by the General Department of Logistic Support, with active collaboration from partner organisations and local police teams. Officials highlighted that such community-driven efforts play a crucial role in strengthening social bonds and fostering unity among residents.
Residents welcomed the initiative, noting that the presence of national flags across neighbourhoods has enhanced the spirit of pride and togetherness. Authorities emphasised that campaigns like these not only celebrate national identity but also promote shared values and cultural harmony throughout Dubai.
