Dubai witnessed a landmark celebration as 33 winners from 24 countries were honoured at the fifth Emirates Energy Award, held under the theme ‘Empowering Carbon Neutrality’. The award ceremony took place alongside the 11th World Green Economy Summit and drew participation from leading experts and decision-makers in the clean energy sector.
This year’s edition recognised remarkable achievements selected from 250 nominations across ten categories, reflecting the global push towards renewable energy, sustainability, and efficiency. The categories included energy efficiency in both public and private sectors, large and small energy projects, solar initiatives, circular economy, education, research, and recognition for young energy professionals.

The Emirates Energy Award has become an influential international platform that encourages creative solutions to today’s climate challenges. It showcases a wide spectrum of innovation – from large-scale solar projects that are reshaping the UAE’s energy landscape to research-led approaches driving global best practices in energy conservation.
Entries spanned the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America, with submissions coming from the UAE, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, the UK, South Korea, Pakistan, the US, and many more. The diversity highlighted the award’s growing reach and its role in fostering global collaboration on sustainability.
The recognition supports the UAE’s ambitious strategies, including the Net Zero 2050 plan, the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to achieve 100% clean energy production capacity by mid-century.
