Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the Al Ain Police Directorate to review major security, policing and emergency preparedness projects aimed at strengthening public safety across the Al Ain Region.
During the visit, His Highness reviewed several development programmes and strategic projects implemented by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, focusing on crime prevention, narcotics control and the use of artificial intelligence within the Safe City System.
Officials briefed His Highness on how AI technologies are being integrated into policing operations to improve field performance, analyse data and predict criminal activities. The system also supports efforts to reduce accident-related deaths and strengthen coordination between security authorities and strategic partners.
His Highness also reviewed the Security Incident Management System, which enhances coordination among relevant agencies during emergencies and security incidents. The system is designed to improve decision-making speed and increase field response efficiency while maintaining high standards of readiness and professionalism.
During the visit, His Highness received a detailed briefing from the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre regarding emergency preparedness plans and coordination efforts with strategic partners. The briefing highlighted readiness measures for dealing with adverse weather conditions in the Al Ain Region and outlined proactive plans aimed at improving response times, protecting lives and property, and ensuring uninterrupted services.
His Highness also reviewed field operations at civil defence centres operated by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority. Officials explained the authority’s preparedness to respond to emergency calls and incidents, as well as ongoing efforts to improve public safety and response times.
A presentation was also delivered on the advanced coordination mechanisms between civil defence teams and relevant authorities. The briefing highlighted the use of smart technologies and modern systems to support rescue, firefighting and ambulance operations and ensure rapid emergency response.
His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of expanding the use of advanced technologies and AI solutions across policing and emergency response sectors. He said these efforts play a major role in protecting lives and property, improving preventive measures and enhancing the overall efficiency of security services in line with international best practices.
His Highness praised the professionalism and competence demonstrated by personnel from Al Ain Police Directorate, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority and the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre. He also highlighted the importance of continuously strengthening safety, security and emergency preparedness systems across the region.
Accompanying His Highness during the visit were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi and several senior officials and officers.
