Abu Dhabi Customs has released its Annual Performance Report for 2025, highlighting strong achievements in trade growth, service quality, and operational performance across the emirate.
According to the report, Abu Dhabi Customs achieved 93 per cent overall organisational performance and 100 per cent strategic performance during 2025. The results were measured across 31 strategic indicators, reflecting efficient planning, execution, and alignment with Abu Dhabi’s economic development goals.
The authority also achieved full completion of strategic indicators linked to the economy pillar of the Abu Dhabi Plan, strengthening its role in supporting the emirate’s long-term economic vision.
One of the biggest highlights of the report was the sharp increase in non-oil foreign trade. Abu Dhabi’s non-oil trade reached AED415.4 billion in 2025, marking a 36 per cent increase compared to 2024. The number of customs declarations also rose by 17 per cent, showing continued growth in trade activity and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a major global hub for business, trade, and investment.
The report further showed strong performance in customer satisfaction and workplace environment. Abu Dhabi Customs recorded 91 per cent in the employee engagement index and 94 per cent in the service quality index. Satisfaction among clearing agents and traders also reached 94 per cent, reflecting the authority’s efforts to simplify customs procedures and improve customer experience.
Abu Dhabi Customs said the positive results were driven by its focus on innovation, advanced technologies, and proactive planning. The authority added that its smart customs ecosystem continues to support business sustainability and strengthen the resilience of the trade sector.
The organisation also reaffirmed its commitment to further developing customs services and expanding partnerships with both public and private sector entities to enhance Abu Dhabi’s global competitiveness in customs and logistics services.
