The Events Investment Fund (EIF), established under the National Development Fund (NDF) by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, today announced its first landmark project: the Riyadh Shooting Range & Entertainment Complex. The development, valued at over SAR 491 million (approximately US$131 million), is set to become a premier destination for sports, entertainment, and tourism.
The announcement was made at the inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh, the world’s leading platform for shaping the future of global tourism.
Located just 40 minutes from the city center, the Riyadh Shooting Range & Entertainment Complex will occupy a sprawling 457,000-square-meter site within Qiddiya City, the Kingdom’s global destination designed entirely around the “Power of Play.” The facility will feature a world-class shooting sports venue fully compliant with International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) standards, capable of hosting international and national competitions, including Asian Games, World Cups, Grand Prix, and Olympic events.
The complex will provide professional and amateur training facilities, with specialized ranges for pistol, rifle, and shotgun disciplines. Beyond competitive sports, the Entertainment Complex will offer diverse recreational activities such as paintball, airsoft, laser tag, and virtual shooting experiences, catering to families, corporate events, and enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Mr. Wahdan Suliman Alkadi, Chief Executive Officer of EIF, emphasized:
"The Riyadh Shooting Range represents a major milestone for EIF as our first landmark project, designed to Qiddiya City’s world-class standards. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to building exceptional venues, stimulating investment, and supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals."
Muhannad AlDawood, Chief Strategy Officer for Qiddiya Investment Company, added:
"We are proud to welcome the Riyadh Shooting Range and the Events Investment Fund to Qiddiya City. This dedicated facility strengthens our portfolio of world-class sporting venues, offering unparalleled experiences to athletes, enthusiasts, and the public alike."
The project is expected to generate more than 2,300 direct and indirect jobs and attract over 400,000 visitors annually. EIF plans to announce similar projects in other cities early next year, reinforcing its mission to build sustainable event infrastructure, enhance quality of life, support economic diversification, and position Saudi Arabia as a premier global destination for sports, leisure, and entertainment.
