The State of Qatar took part in a coordination meeting of permanent representatives at the League of Arab States on Wednesday. The meeting was held at the General Secretariat headquarters to prepare for the sixth Arab-European ministerial meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Jordan from June 22 to 23.
Qatar’s delegation was led by HE Sheikh Jassim bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad Al-Thani, Ambassador of Qatar to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States.
During the session, representatives from Arab member states were updated on the latest progress and arrangements for the upcoming Arab-European ministerial meeting. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination and ensuring unified efforts among Arab countries.
The meeting also reviewed a draft declaration that is expected to be adopted during the ministerial gathering. This declaration aims to address rising regional challenges, especially the impact of recent Iranian attacks targeting Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan, which are seen as a serious threat to regional and international security.
The sixth Arab-European ministerial meeting reflects the continued commitment of both Arab nations and European Union countries to maintain dialogue and enhance cooperation across various sectors.
