HSA Group proudly announces the inclusion of its founders’ remarkable story in the international exhibition “Aden–Marseille. From One Port to Another,” currently on display at La Vieille Charité in Marseille. Running from 21 November 2025 to 29 March 2026, this prestigious exhibition is organised by the Museums of Marseille in close scholarly collaboration with the Louvre Museum, bringing together world-class expertise to explore the historic ties between the two port cities.
To commemorate this important cultural recognition, Mr. Abdul Gabbar Hayel Saeed, Chairman of the Owners’ Representatives Board, and Mr. Dirhem Abdo Saeed, Chairman of HSA Group, attended the exhibition’s opening ceremony in Marseille, representing the Group’s leadership and its enduring global presence.
Founded in 1938, HSA Group began as a modest shop in Aden and steadily grew into one of the region’s most respected and far-reaching international enterprises. The Group’s founders — Mr. Hayel Saeed and his brothers — cultivated deep commercial and cultural relationships between Aden and Marseille, forming the early foundations of a business built on vision, perseverance, and a strong moral compass.
Reflecting on this milestone, Mr. Dirhem Abdo Saeed expressed profound pride in seeing the Group’s history documented within such a globally recognised cultural platform. He highlighted that the exhibition not only celebrates the Group’s early beginnings but also reaffirms the values that continue to guide HSA across generations — integrity, responsibility, and steadfast ethical commitment.
He further noted that the exhibition forms part of a wider international collaboration featuring prominent institutions such as the Louvre Museum, the British Museum, and the Museum of Art History in Vienna. This collective effort enriches the exhibition’s narrative, offering visitors deeper insight into the region’s historical, commercial, and artistic connections.
Mr. Dirhem emphasized that HSA Group’s involvement in international cultural initiatives reflects its pride in a heritage that began in Aden and expanded across continents, while remaining rooted in humanitarian principles and a commitment to professional excellence.
In his closing remarks, he described the recognition as a meaningful milestone in a journey that continues to evolve. He expressed confidence that the exhibition will not only honor the Group’s past but also serve as an inspiration for upcoming generations — encouraging them to pursue progress with the same clarity of purpose, global outlook, and unwavering integrity that shaped HSA Group from its earliest days.
