Al Ahli showcased their skills, particularly in the second quarter, which helped them carve out a significant lead. The opening moments were closely contested, but Al Ahli steadily widened the gap.
Despite the loss, Jesse Jones Jr. of Al Khor impressed as the game’s highest scorer with 37 points, demonstrating exceptional talent. Al Ahli's Nigel Armoni Johnson contributed significantly to the win, netting 26 points. Following this match, Al Ahli now stands sixth in the league with 10 points, while Al Khor remains ninth with 8 points.
In another encounter, Qatar SC triumphed over Al Gharafa with a scoreline of 111-99. Qatar SC showcased solid teamwork and offensive prowess in the first half, maintaining their advantage throughout the match.
Joshua Morris Nicholas stood out for Qatar SC, scoring 33 points, while Al Gharafa's Rashad Allen Williams contributed a commendable 29 points. With this win, Qatar SC ascends to eighth place with 9 points, and Al Gharafa holds steady in seventh with 10 points.
The ninth round of the Qatar Basketball League will wrap up on Saturday, featuring matches between Al Wakrah and Al Arabi, as well as Al Sadd against Al Rayyan, while Al Shamal will sit this round out.
