In Turkmenistan’s Balkan velayat, grand celebrations are underway as the nation observes Constitution Day alongside National Flag Day, featuring cultural events, concerts, and community gatherings.
This year’s festivities occur during the national theme titled “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” while also setting the stage for the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.
Balkanabat city serves as the principal hub for the celebrations, where the Main Flag Square hosts artistic and musical performances that draw students, youth activists, artists, and members of public organizations from various areas.
The event is collaboratively organized by the Balkan velayat council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, along with cultural departments, the Women’s Union, and other community groups.
During the festivities, speakers emphasized Turkmenistan’s enhanced international standing and commended the leadership of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for their commitment to national growth and youth initiatives.
Participants, particularly students and the youth, voiced their appreciation for the educational resources and social support that empower the younger generation. Officials highlighted that these celebrations aim to strengthen feelings of patriotism and national pride among young individuals.
The celebratory ambiance features performances from singers, theater groups, folklore ensembles, and dancers, embodying Turkmen culture, traditions, and national values through various artistic showcases.
Moreover, organizers have announced that conferences, exhibitions, discussions, and competitions related to Constitution Day and National Flag Day will carry on across the Balkan region. Authorities stress that these activities foster peace, camaraderie, cultural identity, and allegiance to national values among citizens.
