The Thai government has issued a reminder for all legal entities to upload their financial statements using the DBD e-Filing platform by June 2, 2026. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with regulations while boosting the credibility of local businesses.
Lalida Periswiwatana from the Ministry of Commerce highlighted the importance of adherence, urging businesses with a fiscal year ending on December 31, 2025, to finalize their submissions within the designated timeframe.
The Department of Business Development estimates that approximately 907,151 legal entities must file this year. However, only around 104,369 have completed the process so far, representing merely 12 percent of the total requirement.
Financial statements are essential as they provide insight into a company’s operational performance, playing a crucial role for management, shareholders, investors, and partners in making informed business decisions. These documents are vital in fostering trust and credibility within the market.
The government emphasizes that limited liability companies, public companies, trade associations, and chambers of commerce must approve their financial statements by April 30, 2026, with submissions due within four months after their fiscal year's end. The deadline has been extended to June 2, 2026, due to a holiday.
Registered partnerships, joint ventures, and foreign legal entities have until June 2, 2026, to file their statements, with submissions allowed within five months of their fiscal year conclusion.
Officials have cautioned that tardiness in submitting financial statements may harm a company’s reputation. Firms failing to report for three consecutive years risk being tagged as dormant and removed from official records.
To mitigate system congestion and to afford time for necessary corrections, the government urges businesses to file their submissions early. Utilizing the DBD e-Filing system is anticipated to enhance operational efficiency, reduce paperwork, and support Thailand's shift towards a digital economy.
