A Turkmen delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, attended the Fifth Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Turkey. This prestigious gathering convened global leaders and decision-makers to tackle urgent international matters.
Under the banner of “Planning for the Future, Managing Uncertainty,” the forum included various sessions centered on collaborative global efforts, sustainable growth, and regional security. Attendees shared insights on navigating contemporary geopolitical and economic hurdles.
In his speech, Meredov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s dedication to fostering regional stability and advancing partnerships among Central Asian states. He pointed out the significance of developing cross-border infrastructure and enhancing international collaborations.
Energy security was a central topic, with Turkmenistan presenting its strategies to diversify its energy supply routes. Important initiatives, such as the TAPI gas pipeline, were showcased as pivotal for enhancing regional interconnectivity and energy collaboration.
The minister also highlighted the critical role of transport and logistics, stating that Central Asia serves as a crucial link between Asia and Europe. Strengthening these pathways is deemed essential for increasing trade and economic synergies.
Turkmenistan’s contributions to the United Nations were also examined, especially its advocacy for energy sustainability through various UN resolutions aimed at bolstering global energy security.
This forum allowed Turkmenistan to reiterate its focus on balanced and mutually beneficial global partnerships. Officials underscored the significance of collaboration among neighboring nations to guarantee lasting stability, economic advancement, and sustainable progress.
