Dubai, UAE – December 24, 2025 – Chery UAE, represented by AW Rostamani Group, proudly celebrated the inspiring achievements of young athletes at the 2025 Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG) held in Dubai. The event highlighted the spirit of determination, courage, and perseverance in sports, while showing how young athletes are redefining their limits and achieving greatness.
One of the most remarkable moments came when 15-year-old Emirati athlete Humaid Alblooshi won the first gold medal for the UAE in the men’s discus F32 final. Even though this was Humaid’s first time competing at the AYPG, he had already proven his talent earlier in 2025 at the World Para Athletics Championships, winning two gold medals and one bronze. His coach, Tvan Sharjhan, praised him saying, “He approaches everything with passion and focus.” Humaid shared advice for young athletes: “Stay relaxed, be true to yourself, and never give up.”
The AYPG in Dubai witnessed many inspiring performances. Archers focused on accuracy, weightlifters pushed their limits, and swimmers gave their best with every stroke. Every athlete showed that success comes from hard work, discipline, and belief. This spirit matches Chery’s own journey, which for 28 years has focused on innovation, determination, and breaking barriers in the automotive world.
Chery UAE has been an active participant in supporting the AYPG. The brand showcased its latest technologies and stood alongside young athletes, promoting innovation, mobility, and performance. Zaher Sabagh, General Manager of Chery UAE, said:
"Watching these young athletes push boundaries is inspiring. At Chery UAE, we see the same values in our work – courage, discipline, and striving for excellence. Supporting the AYPG is a natural way to celebrate these qualities."
Chery’s story began in 1997 in Wuhu, starting from small beginnings and growing into a global automotive brand with 8 major R&D centers and over 30,000 engineers. Like athletes, Chery’s engineers worked tirelessly, improving engine technology and safety features, including achieving 48% thermal efficiency and conducting over 1,500 crash tests annually. Every innovation underwent extreme tests in heat, cold, humidity, and harsh conditions, similar to the training of top athletes.
Chery’s vehicles, such as the TIGGO7 CSH and TIGGO8 CSH, have been recognized worldwide for performance, safety, and hybrid technology, making them proud partners for athletes on and off the field. Both athletes and Chery share the philosophy of “Born to Rise”, showing that with dedication, courage, and persistence, limits can always be surpassed.
Through this event, Chery UAE continues to inspire the community, support young talent, and highlight the importance of resilience, innovation, and progress. The 2025 Asian Youth Para Games in Dubai not only celebrated sportsmanship but also connected technology and human achievement, showing that everyone can rise to new heights.
