Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the 33rd UAE President Cup for Arabian Purebred Horses concluded in Abu Dhabi with a grand finale that drew major attention from the global equestrian community. The event, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, brought together leading figures, elite horses, and an enthusiastic crowd for one of the most anticipated racing nights of the season.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan attended the closing ceremony and presented the award for the 7th and richest race of the evening, the HH The President Cup for Arabian Purebred Horses (Group 1). With a prize purse of AED 8 million, the race stood out as a highlight of the championship, showcasing the strength, heritage, and competitive spirit of Arabian horse racing.
The final day featured an impressive lineup of world-class contenders, reflecting the UAE’s continued success in elevating traditional equestrian sport to international standards. Spectators witnessed thrilling finishes, disciplined performances, and a display of exceptional horse-handling skills that underscored the prestige of the President Cup series.
The event once again reinforced Abu Dhabi’s position as a central hub for Arabian horse racing, attracting prominent owners, trainers, and riders from across the world. Alongside the competitions, the evening celebrated the UAE’s deep-rooted equestrian traditions, honouring the nation’s commitment to preserving its heritage while advancing modern standards in the sport.
Also present were His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society; Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation; and Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wajib Volunteer Association, adding further significance to the closing ceremony.
