The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed a joint executive agreement to build and rehabilitate 13 schools in Yemen’s Lahj and Al-Dhale governorates. The agreement was finalized via videoconference with a civil society organization.
The deal was signed by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz.
Under this project, new educational buildings and facilities will be developed for both primary and secondary schools, mainly in rural and remote areas. The initiative aims to improve access to education where infrastructure is limited or damaged.
As part of the plan, more than 45 fully equipped classrooms will be constructed. These classrooms are expected to reduce overcrowding and support students in areas where education has been disrupted.
The project is set to benefit around 59,851 individuals, including male and female students who currently face challenges due to a lack of proper educational facilities.
This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian efforts through KSrelief to support education in Yemen. So far, the program has contributed to the development and support of over 1,200 educational facilities across the country.
